Marine and Specialty Vehicle Department
3M Marine and Specialty Vehicle products are used for the manufacture, repair and maintenance of commercial vessels as well as the manufacture of recreational vehicles. The product line includes 3M brand respiratory protection and safety products, abrasives, buffing pads, fiberglass repair products, rubbing compounds, putties and glazes, polishes, tapes and masking paper, adhesives and sealants, 3M™ Safety-Walk™ Anti-Slip Products, electrical products and cleaning materials. The department specializes in selling to the original equipment manufacturer (OEM), shipbuilder, ship repair, boat building, cruise ship and consumer segments of the marine industry, as well as the manufacturing segment of recreational vehicles, truck cab and trailer, light rail, bus and other specialty commercial vehicles.
Major Markets: Consumer; general industrial; safety; transportation; commercial vehicle, boat building and professional repairer.
Distribution: Direct sales and through marine, automotive, industrial and do-it-yourself distributors, as well as direct retailers and catalog warehouses.
